BUDDHISM, WHEELS and REPETITIONS
Discussion

If you feel your life is suffering, please read Section 2 of appendix D.

What i consider as the prime truth of the Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna's first two Noble Truths may appear debatable.

Beginners will not know the texts well enough to think critically, so i will have no authority. But then i suggest researching wikipedia and a few buddhist websites online, read the appendices on this site, and see what you think ...

Traditional Buddhists may have no interest, for good reason, - they have been attracted to Buddhism and it works for them, in its present form. I find Buddhism in its present form is a type of Hinduism. Hinduism is a remarkably versatile religion, but I believe Buddhism has its own independent starting points.

I believe to get at Buddhas truth, a demystification of cherished beliefs (centuries of repetitions and attachments) is necessary. The next step for me is finding Buddhists, who know the texts, who can follow my ideas. I need a consensus of opinion on the First and Second Truth, before it makes any sense to continue from this perspective.

With reference to The Middle Way
The Middle Way is usually understood as either renunciation, moderation, or the eightfold path. I doubt Buddha would have suggested either moderation or renunciation as both ideas already existed and i believe his message was something new. However, the broadband experience of sensing without wanting lies at the basis of renunciation, and being receptive is an essential part of moderation. Broadband sensing is also an ideal example of mindfulness and absorption, the last two steps of the eightfold path.

But i don't want to involve myself with discussing the Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna's Third Truth on the ending of Dukkha; or all the alternative interpretations of the Middle Way in traditional Buddhism and otherwise, because until the First and Second Truth are established, this would only lead to years of intellectual debate.
