An adult letter
Is often written
In style and fashion
With bits of gossip
But not much passion

It follows a pattern
Of questions and answers
And is much better
If it doesn`t take chances
And talks of the weather
And not of romances

To write such a letter
One needs to be boring
And not good at drawing
And it helps - to be very conventional
Whilst to read it - you`ve gotta be sensible

To natter is really what matters
to pause and to prattle
with a plausible patter,
and this latter`s, the principle cause
of an adult letter, of course.
