You say words dont come easy
When you`re speaking the truth
But I said - oh yes they do
And I gave you the proof
Cos I can talk round in circles
Or I can stick to the truth
But before I bite my tongue
I will lose my voice

Take down a message
We could take it in turns
To look asnd to listen
and never to learn
You thought I was joking
When I said something`s wrong
But the signals were broken
And the train just rolled on

I been firing my cannon
You been taking defence
We`re down in the trenches
And peace gets no chance
Well the fight was soon over
And as the smoke cleared away
We watched in nthe silence
and there aint no-one was saved
