WE'RE NOT SLAVE TO OUR SENSES – THE SENSES ARE OUR SLAVES
It's not suprising they are hard to control.

Normally we use our senses purely as a means, a vehicle for the relationship between our thoughts and the world outside. They are normally used in a supporting role to fulfill all our wants.

I want to illustrate this with an allegory from human rights : We are using our senses like slaves who have no rights of their own – and this seems, to our present understanding of life, perfectly reasonable and natural.

Human senses are evaluated and manipulated, or just ignored by our thoughts. Our thoughts are the bosses. Our senses are being forced to only focus, forced to work for the bosses, and their natural inborn abilities are being ignored and denied.

The bosses have been greedy, they have gobbled up so many thoughts and ideas and opinions – and have developed an astounding ability to be clever and confuse our senses with all their knowledge.

How can we organise a revolution? How can we enable our senses to overcome the bosses (and their families: the self perpetuating repetitions). How can we turn the tables? Could we even somehow manipulate them and cut off their independance and freedom?

And my answer is, observe animals. In the broadband mode, the senses have their own rights, without any thoughts dominating them. What is sensed is registered and acted upon. When broadbanding, the senses control and dominate the thoughts and actions.

There's no need for long discussions about a peace treaty. There are no long term commitments and promises like with a religion or a therapy. There's no need for mututal trust and, you don't even have to pay any money. Our senses just have to learn a bit of non-violent, non-cooperation.
